At Week-end à la mer, we are proud to offer a new artisanal service: custom canvas stretching and framing from small intimate formats to large, custom-sized pieces.
Whether you are an artist seeking a unique size for your next masterpiece or looking to give a professional finish to your existing work, we create tailor-made canvases designed to your exact specifications.
We craft our own pine wood frames, ensuring strength, durability, and perfect tension.Each frame is carefully built to guarantee a professional quality stretched canvas — a strong and smooth surface ready for your creativity.
We use high-quality linen coated with gesso on one side, offering a beautiful, natural surface ideal for all painting techniques. Each canvas is hand-stretched, traditionally using staples at the back for a clean, refined look. Whenever possible, we are also exploring the use of special upholstery nails, honouring the craftsmanship of the past for a truly authentic finish.
